Shortly after I bought it I was sitting in the car fiddling with the engine off but the radio on. Up comes a message saying that the Battery is Low. Ford Mondeo IV (2007 - ) - 07 1.8D Battery/Electrical Issues. Has anyone else experienced electrical problems with their new Mondeo? I've had the battery replaced, a number of intermittent front headlight faults that cannot be traced, the immobiliser has taken a few attempts to dis-arm.
As with anything software related these days "switch it off and then on again!" This means, make sure you have the keys on you and not inside the car then pull off the battery lead (positive is accessible just don't short the spanner to chassis) for about 30 seconds and then reconnect. Measure the car battery voltage.
Have a facelift MK4.5 1.6 mondeo econetic that has stopped start/stopping. Upto 3 weeks ago it stopped engine each time car stopped. Maybe not related but came home from work one day around 3 weeks ago
